Green Apple featured in independent bookstore video

Found this over at the Green Apple Core Blog blog.

Mother Jones Magazine produced a short video on independent bookstores in San Francisco which features Kevin Hunsanger, owner of Green Apple Books, along with Cover to Cover on Castro Street, and the now closed Stacy’s Books that used to be downtown.

It’s a nice look at why independent bookstores are important to us and to the neighborhoods they reside in.
We love you Green Apple! 🙂

Speaking of Green Apple… they are partnering with the Balboa Theater to provide discounts on books and movies. Bring a Green Apple receipt of $10 or more to the Balboa and purchase a ticket to the films Julie & Julia or Ponyo (opening soon) and you’ll get a free bag of popcorn.

Then, hold onto your ticket stub after the movie, and bring it over to Green Apple where you will receive one of the following two discounts: a stub from Julie & Julia gets you 20% off a single purchase of a new or used cookbook (no limit on quantities) or the stub from Ponyo will save you 20% on a stack of either new or used comics/graphic novels.
