Don’t judge a house by its facade

Curbed SF reminded me today of a valuable lesson in Richmond District real estate: never judge a house by its facade. Case in point – 410 45th Avenue, currently on the market for $839,000.

While the front driveway and facade speak to, well, let’s just say, a homeowner with an interesting sense of color, the interior does live up to its billing of “stunning remodeled single family house”.

  1. Casi Contreras Said,

I wonder if that’s how all the houses are here! I’ve never seen so many oddly painted houses in my life since I moved here. This is just from my street http://www.sanfrancisconoobs.com/10-21-2009/no-thank-you-mcmansion-builders/ I’ve seen way more “interesting” paint choices out there. I hope they’re all this beautiful on the inside :)

I know, right?!?! I like to call them “discount colors”. Though the choices for this house look pretty deliberate with the driveway pieces matching the facade color. Not my cup of tea, but hey, part of home ownership is making it your own. ;)

OMG, the creme de menthe corner building at your link is priceless. Discount all the way! LOL
