Here's a shot I made when I passed by in August of last year; it looked so much more hidden and romantic:

Maybe they could scoot it forward and add on behind it? A lot better than imitating the neighbors...

It is such a sweet little place. Looks like Stick/Eastlake style, maybe 1880s? Pretty old for the area--I hope it's architecturally significant and some nice rich person plans to restore it....With a beautiful front garden, it'd be wonderful!

Quick search of the DBI (http://dbiweb.sfgov.org/dbipts/) shows no current electrical, building or plumbing permits filed or requested. Just a couple of blight complaints from the past couple of years. It just sold last month so probably a little soon for building plans to already be filed.

Does anyone know if there's been a permit filed for demo? They should definitely have to do historical review on this one. Although, from looking at it, I'm not sure that would hold up a potential project - it's tiny, cute, and old, but not necessarily architecturally outstanding in the area. Maybe someone important lived there?! It's in poor shape, but not completely unsalvageable. It needs a good owner who will give it to some TLC.

Rumors of occupancy have circulated for years, but according to Trulia, this property just sold on June 14, 2010 for $330,000 . Take a look while you can, because it will most likely be demolished soon to be replaced by multiple units.
