This Saturday, Katherine Delmar Burke School will host their annual Fall Festival fundraiser at their campus, 7070 California Street at 32nd Avenue (next to the Lincoln Park stairs).
Bring the family out for a fun day filled with music, games, merchandise, entertainment, food and much more. There’s lots of activities for both little and big kids.
I was there last year with a friend and her child and we had a great time winning goldfish, listening to live music, eating at the BBQ, taking a pony ride and visiting the petting zoo. The festival runs from 10am until 4pm and admission is $5 per person.
Also on Saturday is Zion Lutheran School’s annual Fall Carnival at 495 9th Avenue. Enjoy carnival games and prizes, a bounce house, food from KFC, Jamba Juice, and J&O catering, a dunk tank, arts and crafts, a pie-eating contest, a silent auction and more.
A 10 ticket card good for food and games can be purchased at the Zion Lutheran entrance for $5.00. The carnival runs from 11am until 4pm, rain or shine (in case of rain, all games will be inside the school building and gym). Call 221-7500 ext. 203 for more information.
