Next Wednesday night, Green Apple Books will host DIY author Harriet Fasenfest who will be reading from her new book, Householder’s Guide to the Universe.
Join author and DIY expert Harriet Fasenfest for a discussion on householding – the commitment to self-sufficiency that results in sustainable living, useful skills, and, arguably most importantly, delicious homemade jam. But, as Harriet Fasefest knows, it can also be a lot of work and decidedly out of sorts with our industrial, leisure loving, consumerist minds.
The event hopes to ignite a fun and informal discussion about our changing home and land systems along with an investigation into the hopes, challenges and humor that come with attempting to reclaim our home and land-based skills. Harriet will also answer any preserving, cooking or gardening questions you may have.
The event begins at 7pm in the Granny Smith Room at Green Apple Books (506 Clement Street).
