Happy Holidays! Win a Kookle Toys prize pack

Kookle Toys opened up at 6 Clement Street a short while ago, and they’ve got a great selection of high quality toys for kids (and adults) of all ages.

As a thanks to the blog for getting the word about her new business, owner Michelle Sidney gave me a Kookle bag full of toys to give away to readers. So I decided to make it one giant prize pack and give it away in a special holiday drawing.

It’s filled with bubbles, a Whizzer, a hacky sack, sidewalk chalk, a hand buzzer, a Spud Shot gun (over 300 shots per potato!), a compass, a “Suddenly Snow” kit, and a “Rulers & Patriots” ruler.

Here’s how it works: Send in an answer to the trivia question below using our contact us page by 12noon this Thursday, December 23rd. I’ll pick a winner at random from the correct entries and drop the prize pack off at your house, just in time for Christmas. Stuff some stockings with the great items, or horde them for yourself and have a good time. 😉

One caveat – you have to live in the Richmond District. I’m thankful to have readers from all over the city, but for this contest, you’ve gotta live in the Richmond.

Q: Approximately how tall is the Monterey Cypress – currently lit up for the holidays – in front of Golden Gate Park’s McClaren Lodge?

Thanks to Kookle for the great toys. Good luck and happy holidays!

Sarah B.

UPDATE: Congratulations to Stephanie Y. who won the Kookle prize pack! She correctly guessed that the McClaren Lodge tree is roughly 100 feet tall (mentioned in this post) and was chosen at random from correct entries.

  1. I suspect it is as tall as the combined height of Nine Ladies Dancing on the shoulders of Eleven Lords a Leapin’ – I get some flex here ’cause the Lords are a Leapin’

  2. Uncle John’s tree looks to be about 35 feet tall. It is 110 years old.

  3. Sorry – forgot to update the post with the winner and correct info. The tree is roughly 100 feet tall and Stephanie Y. was the winner.
