Starbucks turns 40 – you get free pastry

In celebration of their 40th birthday this week, Starbucks is giving away mini pastries with the purchase of any drink.

That includes their carrot cake mini cupcakes, salted caramel sweet squares, red velvet whoopie pies, birthday cake pops… check out the full mini menu.

Stop in starting today, March 10 until Saturday, March 12 between the hours of 2pm and 5pm to get your freebies. Here in the Richmond District we’ve got a Starbucks at 19th & Geary, and another one just outside the ‘hood at California and Spruce. Find other locations

  2. OR support the locally owned independent cafes that give back to the community every day in every way. And save yourself 200 calories.

  3. You know their food comes in defrosted? For example… have you tried their croissant? It’s dried out from the ‘thawing’ and then further drying from the fridge pastry case – it’s a shame how bad it is… and is why people asked for it to be warmed up. hah.. what a joke. Do you know how long their coffee being sit in a bag before they use them? Have you asked about expiration dates for the coffee? The only way you can enjoy SBux is to turn a blind eye to these facts. Gawd, at least as far as coffee chains goes, Peet’s get’s their pastries baked daily from local bakeries they buy from such as Riason D’etre.

  4. Personally, i didnt like the pastries. I tried the birthday sucker thing and the red velvet whoopie pies. To me, both were gross. They reminded me of those expensive pastry shops.
But of course the coffee was good
