A raccoon family goes to the movies at the 4-Star

In her SF Chronicle column today, Leah Garchik wrote about a family of raccoons that tried to make a home under the stage in one of the 4-Star’s theaters.

The 4-Star Theater, located at 23rd Avenue and Clement, confirmed that they did have some masked patrons last week. No one snapped any photos unfortunately. I’m not even sure what flick they crashed – Green Lantern probably.

So how do you get raccoons to leave the movies? Food of course.

“They held their ground for one showing, and then were lured outside with popcorn,” Garchik wrote.

I wonder if they took the #18 bus to get there. I hear those cultured Legion raccoons love to go to the cinema…

  1. I heard they were waiting for a midnight showing of “Smokey and the Bandit”.

  2. There is also a lot of coyotes around here, its cool to see wildlife in such an urban landscape.
