The exit from southbound Hwy 101 to southbound Hwy 1 will be moved to the north and will become a mandatory two lane exit that will temporarily merge to one lane. Cars driving off the bridge and connecting to southbound Hwy 1 will need to merge right earlier than they currently do. Refer to the image below.
If you’re coming home from Marin during the closure, the 19th Ave/Highway 1 exit will not be available. To reach the Richmond District you’ll need to exit immediately after the toll booth and wind your way through the Presidio, exiting at 25th Avenue, 15th Avenue or Arguello.
