Gardener to the British elite at the Conservatory, March 13

If you’ve ever admired the classic English garden, then you might want to make time for this event at the Conservatory of Flowers.

Author Barbara Paul Robinson will be talking about her time working as a gardener for the legendary English garden designer Rosemary Verey. Verey is regarded as the “apostle of the English style” of gardens, and advised British elite from Prince Charles to Elton John on their gardens.

Robinson will read from her book “Rosemary Verey: The Life & Lessons of a Legendary Gardener” which was published last onhealthy zyrtec online year. She worked as a gardener for Rosemary Verey at Barnsley House, a mandatory stop on every garden tour in the 1980s and 1990s and now a hotel/resort.

A hands-in-the-dirt gardener herself, Robinson and her husband created their own gardens at Brush Hill in northwestern Connecticut, featured in articles, books, and on television.

The event will begin with an open stroll through the Conservatory from 6:00-6:30pm, followed by Robinson’s talk and book signing from 6:30-8:00pm.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online in advance.
