  1. Anyone got any ideas about where on Cabrillo this was taken at? Only clue I can see is that it appears to be a parking lot since there’s a painted white line on the ground. The guy is wearing cut-offs and the shadow of the car door suggests that it’s likely close to mid-day.

  2. Some minor sleuthing has turned up that:

    1. That’s the photographer’s motorcycle in the picture.
    2. His address at the time was 642 8th Avenue (compare next door neighbor’s stairs here http://www.flickr.com/photos/daveglass/6832209158/ to Google street view.)

The ground floor windows and (as previous poster mentioned) parking lot lines lead me to believe this is not a house or apartment, and that it’s perhaps a lot behind a church or school along Cabrillo. But I don’t see anything that looks like that. Perhaps it was whatever they tore down to build the Safeway nearby, though I think maybe that Safeway was just an older Safeway prior to that.

Maybe someone with a Flickr account can ask him?

  3. there are other Cabrillo streets in California. I don’t recognize it, but a larger picture would help. Google earth wasn’t there, sadly.
