CAPTAIN’S MESSAGE
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our community partners who are unsung heroes and were involved with the resounding success that was the Outside Lands Music Festival. As referenced in the previous captain’s message it’s teamwork that generates positive results. I received an email from Ms. Mary Conde of Another Planet Entertainment in which she thanks SFPD officers at the event and Rock Med who provided immediate medical assistance whether basic or critical. SFPD Officers and Rock Med responded to a report of a person down in the Polo Fields and in need of immediate critical assistance. It should be noted that one of the Rock Med volunteers was actually on off duty E.R. doctor brought in for the event.

This is an excerpt from the email received from the patient:

“I was the one who had the Massive Heart attack on Friday 8-11 just after The Smith Westerns. If not for your HERO’S (fine Medical Staff) I WOULD BE DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway I would like to thank You and everyone who made sure I had the best medical care that your fine city had to offer.”

“After spending Friday and Saturday in the ICU I was released on Sunday and returned to the Festival (with a wheelchair of course) to see my Favorite Band “The Red Hot Chili Peppers.”

Again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH”

Acting Captain Frank Lee

The regular news letter editor will return next week. I apologize for any interruptions or errors over the past couple of weeks with the newsletter. – Officer Brady # 84, SFPD Richmond Station.

  1. Good job SFPD!

We need more arrests and deterrence against the meth heads running around Fulton/GGP. I’ve noticed less activity (read: guys with mullets screaming at nobody whilst stumbling or weaving on their bikes) in our neighborhood.

Keep up with keeping our community safe, and good hunting with all those robbers!

  2. Did you get the date wrong on the Mac store robbery? My computer was stolen there during an armed robbery on Aug 15 by two young black men w a gun. I understood no cash was taken and my computer was the only thing they got after a scuffle. (A very very big loss for me bc of everything on it.) The owner said nothing like this had happened before so unless that’s not quite true, the date should be Aug 15.
