“Another Hole in the Head” indie horror fest at the Balboa, Nov. 29 – Dec. 5

The 10th Annual Another Hole in the Head International Genre Film Festival kicks off next week, with a week long run at the Balboa Theater.

The 3 week festival is packed with independent horror, sci-fi and fantasy films – “Three weeks of celluloid mayhem not usually found in your local cineplex!” the website promises. The first week of the festival, November 29 through December 5, will be at the Balboa Theater.

“San Francisco’s original genre film festival is characterized by a scrappy, DIY aesthetic that eschews big studio content and recent trends towards elevated genre. Holehead’s programming remains curatorially committed to the genre’s graphic roots in shockploitation, visceral thrills and gleeful mayhem.” – Michael Guillen, The Evening Class

Check out the first week’s schedule at the Balboa Theater which includes controversial film “The Dirties” produced by Kevin Smith, and “Willow Creek” directed by Bobcat Goldwaith. Classic films Jaws and The Shining will also be playing at the Balboa.

You can even buy a $99 all-inclusive pass that includes admission to every film playing at the Balboa.
