Blog reader Jan sent us these photos of a coyote that was photographed by her daughter, Laura, in the Presidio last Friday morning.
She spotted the coyote just southwest of the cemetery, saying he was “large and impressive-looking”.

Don’t discount the danger inherent with wild animals. I’ve seen more than a few coyotes in the streets of the Richmond with a rat, cat, raccoon, and most recently a King Charles Cavalier in their mouths. Luckily my dog is a bit larger than a coyote… and loves chasing them down. Don’t want them to become to comfortable in our neighborhood.
