We’ll soon be welcoming a new import from New York City – The Big Quiz Thing live trivia game show. They’ll debut their show June 9 at Clement Street’s Neck of the Woods (406 Clement), with more shows beginning in September.
Think pub trivia that you play with friends, but with a little more glitz, multimedia and comedy. The game, which takes on a more live game show feel, pits teams against each other in a variety of trivia challenges including “figureoutable” trivia questions, the Lightning NITarmsRound, the Text Message Challenge, the Buzzertastic Finale, and even the game’s custom trivia-answer app (bring an iPad if you’ve got one).
Host Noah Tarnow, replete with sparkly dinner jacket, looks like he will be a funny MC and keep things moving. There are plenty of prizes to be given away, including stuff from neighborhood favorites Foggy Notion and Green Apple Books, as well as the Exploratorium, Bay Area Derby Girls and other SF biz.
The opening show at Neck of the Woods on June 9 at 7pm is free. Put on your thinking caps and brush up on your pop culture and news!
