ARREST: RESISTING, DELAYING, OR OBSTRUCTING PEACE OFFICER DUTIES; NARCOTICS PARAPHERNALIA
04/06/2016 4:24 PM
California St. & Broderick St.
Officers responded to a call regarding a shirtless man who appeared to have an altered mental status. When Officers arrived on scene the man became extremely agitated, yelled profanities and turned towards the officers while clenching his fists in an aggressive manner. Officers noticed the man was sweating profusely as he began to disrobe while continuing to act as if he wanted to fight with the Officers. Officers attempted to get control of the suspect but he kept pulling away and tensing up his arms. Despite their efforts, the Officers were unable to handcuff the suspect because he was struggling so much. Officers were finally able to handcuff the suspect and noticed that during the struggle, a glass pipe fell out of his pants pocket. The suspect was transported to the hospital due to his altered mental state. The suspect was cited for obstruction and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

BURGLARY OF A RESIDENCE FORCIBLE ENTRY
04/06/2016 9:55 PM
41ST Ave. & Cabrillo St.
The victim arrived home to find his front door forced open, causing damage and splintering to the door frame. When the victim walked into his home he noticed it was ransacked and in complete disarray. A room that is rented to a tenant downstairs was also forced open and ransacked. Several items of value were taken from both residences. There are no suspects at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

ARREST: DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
04/07/2016 11:23 PM
Geary & 32nd Ave
Officers were approached by two bystanders who told them there was a silver sedan in the area driving erratically, running several red lights. Officers located the vehicle driving eastbound on Geary Blvd. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and as they contacted the driver they immediately smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage. The driver had watery, bloodshot eyes and extremely slurred speech. The driver conducted and failed several field sobriety tests. He was arrested at the scene and later booked into County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

ARREST: STOLEN VEHICLE
04/09/2016 10:05 PM
Geary Blvd. & 27th Ave.
Officers observed a vehicle traveling eastbound Geary Blvd. with expired registration tabs. A computer check of the vehicle revealed it did in fact have expired tabs and had also been reported stolen out of San Rafael. Officers immediately conducted a high risk “felony stop” on the vehicle. Both occupants of the vehicle, a man and a woman, were taken into custody without incident. Officers located several sets of vehicle keys in the male driver’s pocket, which can be used to burglarize and steal vehicles. The male suspect was arrested at the scene and later booked into county jail on several felony charges while the female was released at the scene.

ARREST: WARRANT ARREST; RESISTING OR OBSTRUCTING PEACE OFFICERS DUTIES
04/10/2016 2:23 PM
Geary Blvd. & 27th Ave.
Officers responded to a store regarding two alleged shoplifters. When they arrived, Officers located two male suspects and were able to positively identify one as a shoplifter. When asked his name, the male suspect provided Officers with a false name. The Officers were suspicious and made several attempts to determine the man’s true identity, but he continued to provide false information. Eventually the man gave Officers his actual name and birth date, which revealed several outstanding warrants for his arrest. The store owner wanted the men advised not to return back to his store. Both suspects were advised of this and the suspect with the warrants was booked into County Jail.

ARREST: ROBBERY WITH GUN
4/11/2016 12:14 AM
Geary Blvd. & Arguello Blvd.
An armed robbery occurred in the Northern Police District, on Sutter St. at Steiner St. The victim was robbed by two men with guns. When the suspects fled the scene they jumped into a waiting dark gray vehicle occupied by two additional men. The victim was able get a partial plate of the suspect’s vehicle as it sped away. Dispatch went out on the radio to every district station, with the partial plate and the fact four suspects were involved in the robbery. Ofc. Alvaro Schor jotted down the plate on his hand as he patrolled the Richmond District. Ofc. Schor and his longtime partner, Ofc. Charles Tanaka, were in the area of Geary Blvd. & 9th Ave., when Ofc. Schor observed four occupants in a dark vehicle traveling eastbound on Geary at 9th Ave. Ofc. Tanaka made a quick u-turn and caught up with the vehicle, which matched the partial plate Ofc. Schor had written on his hand. Ofc. Schor and Ofc. Tanaka followed the vehicle for several blocks before conducting a high risk “felony stop” on the vehicle with other Richmond Units: Ofc. Pierre Mayorga, Ofc. Anna Cuthbertson, Ofc. Ian Mikulas, Ofc. Michael Kawaguchi, Ofc. Kenneth Cha and Ofc. Ilya Faynshteyn. All four suspects were taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed two handguns, the same ones believed to have been used during the earlier robbery. The handguns were later discovered to be very realistic looking air soft guns, nearly indistinguishable from a real firearm.

  1. I’m curious if you have anything related to 8th ave between Cabrillo and Balboa possibly on 4/12 early evening? There were plenty of cops and firetrucks and they block traffic from going on to 8th ave.
