Video: The Western Pond Turtles in remediated Mountain Lake are doing well

Mike Sugerman of KPIX-5 stopped by Mountain Lake Park recently to report on the progress of the 55 baby Western Pond Turtles that the Presidio Trust reintroduced to the lake after the remediation project was completed.

The good news is that the turtles are thriving. Thanks to transmitters on each of their backs, the Presidio Trust has determined that only 1 of the 55 has died since the project began. And given some more time, they should start breeding.
