ARREST: POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY; SEARCH WARRANT
08/23/2016 9:00 PM
33RD Ave. & Balboa St.
A victim reported her Apple laptop was stolen out of her car on 07/29/2016. She later received an email from “AppleCare” about new parts which had been ordered for her stolen laptop (not by her). The parts were sent to an address in San Francisco that she did not recognize. Officers went to the suspect’s address and met with a subject, who told the Officers he worked for a company that sent him laptops for repair. The suspect gave the Officers the victim’s computer to return to her. The Richmond Station Investigations Team conducted further investigation and discovered the same suspect had several Apple laptops listed for sale on Craigslist. A plain clothes Officer met with the suspect and ultimately placed him under arrest for possession of stolen property. Officers executed a search warrant at the suspect’s apartment and located 65 Apple Macbook computers. Seven of the computers were confirmed to be stolen property. The investigation is ongoing.

ARREST: RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE
08/24/2016 7:28 PM
Fulton & Great Highway
Officers were dispatched to Fulton St. and Great Highway regarding a suspicious vehicle. When Officers arrived on scene they located a male suspect working on a small scooter, with different tools and repair equipment. The suspect told the Officers the scooter belonged to a guy named “James.” Officers examined the scooter and noticed the original ignition was replaced by a new one, consistent with stolen vehicles. Officers ran the license plate and contacted the owner of the scooter. The owner stated the scooter had been stolen a few months prior, but the theft was never reported to the police. The owner of the scooter declined to take any further police action against the suspect. The suspect was cited and released at the scene for possession of stolen property.

ARREST: WARRANT ARREST; FALSE IDENTIFICATION TO A PEACE OFFICER
08/25/2016 11:18 PM
26TH Ave. & Geary Blvd.
An Officer on patrol observed a vehicle double parked, facing north on 26th Ave. The Officer conducted a records check on the vehicle and discovered it had expired registration. The Officer made contact with the suspect in the vehicle, who provided the Officer with a false identification. The Officer conducted a further inquiry to identify the registered owner of the vehicle. The suspect was, in fact, the registered owner of the vehicle and not the person on the false identification presented to the Officer. A records check of the suspect’s true identity revealed he had a felony no bail warrant out of San Mateo County. The Officer booked the suspect for the warrant and false identification to a Peace Officer.

08/26/2016 12:33 AM

The victim looked out of his window and saw a male suspect climb over his gate to the front steps of his residence. The suspect then climbed under a wooden divider into the neighbor’s yard, where he started looking into windows. The victim yelled at the suspect, who then ran out and across the street, through the Safeway parking lot.

850 La Playa St.
Officers were dispatched to the Safeway store at 850 La Playa St. regarding a male suspect in a physical altercation with a security guard. The Safeway security guard told the Officers he saw the suspect conceal a bottle of liquor under his sweatshirt. When the security guard approached the suspect, he became angry and swung the bottle at the security guard, hitting him in the face. The bottle dropped to the ground and shattered. The suspect then struck the security guard several more times in the face with his fists. Two good Samaritans intervened and helped the guard hold the suspect down. When Officers arrived they located the suspect, who took off running through the parking lot towards La Playa St. The Officers caught up with the suspect and placed the suspect in handcuffs after a short struggle. The Officers arrested and booked the suspect.
