5th Annual Jog in the Fog 5k presented by Kaiser Permanente is on September 10 – register today!

Crossing the finish line at the 2016 Richmond District Jog in the Fog

Hard to believe, but it’s year 5 for the Richmond District Jog in the Fog 5k, presented by Kaiser Permanente! This year’s race takes place on Sunday, September 10 with an 8am start time in Mountain Lake Park.

Last year, nearly 600 runners and walkers came out for the 3.4 mile course which begins in Mountain Lake Park and ends at picturesque Lands End. Thanks to entry fees and sponsorships, the race raised just over $15,000 for the Richmond District YMCA.

This year’s race will once again include the “Mile Rock Challenge”, sponsored by Hi-Five Sports, along with a few other surprises to celebrate the fifth year of the race.

In 2016, runner Peter Lunny, age 37, came bounding to the finish with a record-setting 20:34 time for the 3.4 mile course, crushing the 2013 course record by 1:11. Will a new record be set this year? We’ll have to wait and see.

Registration is $45 for adults (13 & over) and includes a race bib and Jog in the Fog t-shirt. Children 12 & under are free, but online registration is required (and if desired, children’s shirts can be purchased at that time).
