Wed night: PAR general meeting featuring panel on neighborhood news

This Wednesday night, the Planning Association for the Richmond will hold their general meeting.

The meeting will feature a panel discussion focused on neighborhood news with panelists Paul Kozak from the Richmond Review newspaper, Bobak Esfandiari of Nextdoor.com, and myself, Sarah B. of the Richmond Blog. We’ll be discussing Richmond community networking and information.

The agenda will also include an update on policing issues in the neighborhood, as well as a presentation of Richmond District history from Woody LaBounty of the Western Neighborhoods Project.

Wednesday night’s meeting begins at 7pm and will be held at the Richmond Recreation Center (251 18th Ave).

  1. Does anyone know if the police will be at this PAR meeting or why The Richmond Blog stopped publishing the SFPD Blotter? Was there a community meeting tonight Tuesday, July 18th, for the SFPD? Thank you.

  2. Having inquired with Richmond Headquarters (the late night officer did not know), I can verify that the July Community Meeting was cancelled and that while Captain O’Brien will not be at the PAR Meeting tonight — Wed, not Tuesday, sorry for the typo — a lieutenant will be there.

  3. I hope the agenda will include a reference to the continuing pothole problem in the Richmond. June was supposed to be part pothole month, but I don’t see any tangible progress.

  4. Hope Ashley’s Cafe manages to get rid of their pest problem. Good thing they’re using all those Clark guys and having them come early mornings before opening!
