Food news: Lokma opens, Heritage rolling along, Hockey Haven under new ownership, it’s all #hearts at Angelina’s Cafe

Lokma at 1801 Clement

We’ve got a few updates for you hungry foodies out there…

Lokma Opens on Clement

A new Mediterranean/California spot called Lokma just opened this week at the corner of 19th Avenue and Clement. For now they are only serving breakfast/brunch from 9am until 2pm (closed Mondays). The menu includes Greek yogurt pancakes, a kale mushroom omelette, Menemen (Turkish egg scramble), and Blackberry Bulgur.

Heritage off to a good start

Heritage Restaurant & Bar (708 Clement) is off to a strong start in what used to be the Clement St. Bar & Grill space. We’re hearing good things from patrons about the food, atmosphere and friendly staff. They’re open daily from 3pm until Midnight, and are now offering a weekend brunch from 11am until 3pm. They do accept reservations as well.

Hockey Haven under new ownership

Outer Balboa’s Hockey Haven (3625 Balboa) is under new ownership and they’re celebrating with a party on February 17 at 1pm. Stop by anytime during the day for Tacos, HoHa T-Shirts, Hoodies, Koozies, Games & Good Times.

Valentine’s Day at Angelina’s Cafe

On St. Valentine’s Day, Angelina’s Cafe (6000 California) will have a face painter on site from 3pm-4:30pm for kids (or young at heart adults!) to get a heart painted on their sleeve, hand or cheek. While you’re there, pick up a Valentine Puppy Love cookie and they’ll donate a $1 to Rocket Dog Rescue. Stop by to share the love!

  1. I had a great chicken salad at Lokma yesterday – I’m going back for pancakes very soon!

  2. The new owner of Hockey Haven is actually one of the longtime bartenders, Erin. We’re all happy and proud of her!
