I sighed heavily when I saw new phone books stacked up in my front entrance to my building. Really? Are these still useful in this age of internet and smartphones? Maybe it’s a generational thing; my mom says she uses the yellow pages fairly often. What do you plan to do with your new phone book?
I would take a copy, but the last time we got one it just sat in the kitchen collecting dust…
I will say that in this day and age, I’m wondering who would still get the reference if I picked mine up ecstactically and yelled out “the new phone book’s here! The new phone book’s here!” Or maybe I’m just that old. 😉
Before you dump it in the blue bin, look on the inside cover and find the website address that will let you unsubscribe from future deliveries and save a tree or two.
There are also some coupons in the back, which can be very useful! I keep my phone books because sometimes it’s faster to look something up in them than it is online…
