Looking for a group to bike to work with in the morning? Meet up at Angelina’s Deli & Cafe (22nd & California) on Thursday, May 14 at 7:30am. You can ride with a friendly group headed downtown.
This is part of the Bike to Work Day campaign being put on by the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition. Even if you don’t feel like pumping up your tires and trying a different commute to work, you can get involved in other ways on May 14:
Volunteer at an energizer station: Distribute goodies to bicyclists at one of more than 25 Energizer Stations on Bike to Work Day.
Show your support for bicycle commuting at their Bike to Work Day press conference (8:30am, City Hall Steps, Polk + Grove). Join other cyclists, members of the Board of Supervisors and city leaders on the steps of City Hall to demonstrate support for dozens of Bike Plan improvement projects that double the number of bike lanes in San Francisco.
So what’s the best route to downtown from the Richmond? Take Fulton Street all the way down?
