For the past several months, residents and flora fans have been fighting the Park and Recreations Dept. to prevent them from charging an admission fee for the Botanical Gardens. The idea was then revised to only charge out-of-town visitors, but that too was met with heavy resistance.
Well, it looks like the people have been heard! Over the weekend, Jared Blumenfeld, General Manager of the Park & Rec Dept. sent out this email:
=====================
Dear Friends:
After a long and very lively conversation regarding fees for the San Francisco Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park, we will be recommending that NO fee be charged for this onhealthy flagyl online special natural space. Instead, we will be instituting a “suggested fee” schedule and are looking to bring in a vendor to offer food and beverages.
We thank you for your input and look forward to working with you on our shared goal of keeping the Botanical Garden beautiful for present and future generations.
Thank you,
Jared Blumenfeld
General Manager
San Francisco Recreation and Park Department

So rest assured that San Franciscans and visitors will be able to continue visiting the gardens for free (but donations are always helpful!). Congratulations to the tireless team of the Keep The Arboretum Free group.

Believe Jared sent this email out more than a week ago. Not sure which email list he used to send his notice out. Oh well
