I came across a listing this week for a Richmond District restaurant and wine bar for lease. But I can’t figure out which one it is.
“A uniquely designed restaurant and wine bar on a major street in a well located Richmond district site. The restaurant has high ceilings, a separate wine bar which could be converted into a full bar if desired, a combination of banquette seating and tables and chairs. There is an upstairs area which has a private seating area for 15 as well as an office, dressing room and restrooms.”
Sounds like it must be on Clement or Geary, but the description doesn’t ring a bell. It’s 1600 square feet plus another 825 upstairs, seats close to 65 and is only open 3 days a week for dinner. Any ideas?
The description goes on to say “The current concept needs to be changed as it has limited market appeal. This restaurant would lend itself well to just about any type of restaurant and especially well to an Asian restaurant due to the neighborhood demographics.”
Any budding entrepeneurs out there? The lease is yours for just $5,000 plus a $50,000 security deposit which is refunded at the end of the lease.

Old Chapeau location on 15th?
Looks more like another place on Balboa…
