Woody LaBounty, who heads up the Western Neighborhoods Project (and author of a great new SF book called “Carville-by-the-Sea”), occasionally posts history-related, one minute videos on outsidelands.org.
I particularly like this one which celebrates the characteristic we western neighborhoods are most known for: the fog.
As a native San Franciscan and longtime Richmond resident, I admit, there are times where the fog is wonderful and welcome (esp. when returning to SFO from a hot climate). What about you?
Sarah B.
I love the fog, too! Especially early in the morning or late at night when the light gets all fuzzy and everything looks so dreamlike.
i don’t think so. when bayview hunters point gets built up, i think a lot of events will move out there.
I commute to Davis with its blistering hot triple digit days. It’s the best thing in the world to step off the bus into thick swirling fog of the Richmond. I love it.
I agree with Rachel. Seeing the fog illuminated by streetlights–gorgeous.
Thank you Woody and Sara — I too love the fog!!!
