I stopped out at Ocean Beach this afternoon to check in on Leap’s 26th Annual Sandcastle Contest. This year’s theme was classic children’s books.
Rooftop Elementary School, teamed with Swinerton Builders, took the best of show prize with their sand sculpture depicting a character in repose from Where the Wild Things Are.
Lots of pictures below from other entries. And kudos to the kids for being troopers – the winds were extremely high at Ocean Beach and organizers told me they were blowing like that all day.
