Next Wednesday night the Richmond District Library will host a free workshop, “Beading Techniques” from 6:30 – 8:30pm.
At the event, painter and bead worker Niki Lee will give a presentation of beadwork techniques on hide and trade cloth, using a straight stitch and demonstrating the making of rosettes.
Lee’s work has shown in the Western United States (New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and California) since 1999. She is the youngest artist included in the landmark online exhibit Gifts Given by The Creator: Contemporary American Indian Art.
