Supervisor Eric Mar will meet and greet some of his younger constituents next Wednesday night, March 24th, when The League of Young Voters hosts “Meet Your Mar” at Park Life from 7:30pm-10pm (220 Clement Street near 3rd Avenue).
The LYV’s mission is to empower young people nationwide to participate in the democratic process and create progressive political change on the local, state and national level – with a focus on non-college youth and youth from low-income communities and communities of color. Founded in 2003, the League has become one of the strongest youth organizations in the country fighting for progressive change.
The event is free and in addition to being able to ask Supervisor Mar any kind of question they want, attendees will enjoy art, snacks, drinks, games (human bingo!), tunes, and “a bunch of fresh kids chillin'” (that’s from the event description, not me!).
