Green Apple’s blog reports that Richmond District resident and young adult author S. Terrell French was in Washington D.C. recently to accept the Green Earth Book Award for her novel Operation Redwood.
Released last May, Operation Redwood tells the story of a 12-year-old boy in San Francisco fighting a big corporation with his friends to save a grove of redwood trees from being cut down.
The award is part of the Green Earth Literature Program, created by the Newton Marasco Foundation to get more books with a message of environmental stewardship into the hands of children and young onhealthy amoxicillin amoxil adults.
French recently sat down for an interview with Examiner.com. She says she is already working on a new book, also set in San Francisco, for the same age range .
If you want to contact Ms. French or learn more about redwood logging, check out her Operation Redwood website. You can also keep up with her on her Facebook page.
And the next time you’re in Green Apple, check out Operation Redwood in person or purchase it from their website.
Congratulations to S. Terrell French on her award!
