SFPD has released photos of a woman wanted for two armed bank robberies in the city, including one at a Bank of America on the 3700 block of Balboa on July 12.

San Francisco Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in two armed bank robberies in San Francisco. In one incident, which occurred on July 12, 2010 the suspect enters the Bank of America on the 3700 block of Balboa Street. The suspect who is believed to be a Hispanic or white female approached the teller, brandished a black semi-auto pistol and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot.
In the second incident, which occurred on July 16, 2010 the suspect enters the Bank of America on the 5200 block of Diamond Heights Blvd. The suspect who is also believed to be Hispanic or White female approached the teller and brandished a pistol and demanded money. The teller complied and the suspect fled.
In both cases the suspect is described as either a Hispanic or White female, 30’s , 5’3”, 130lbs, orange/red tinted hair with sunglasses.

UPDATE: SFWeekly reports that the woman was arrested on July 29.
I’m curious why in police blotters they never mention the race of the suspects. “The suspect is a male 20-30 yrs wearing a baseball cap and a black hooded jacket”. You’d think that the race would be more relevant in identifying the guy than a baseball cap. Is it not politically correct to identify the race? If that’s the case, it’s truly idiotic.
Same with hair color – for some strange reason it’s never mentioned.
Anyway, I’m glad that the race is identified in this case.
Well she has been caught. her name is Shelly and she worked at the same place as me. The feds came to my work yesterday and got her ass. I was wondering how all of a sudden she was driving a lexus with big ol rims and a stereo. Lol
