UPDATE: Sorry, folks. The Park Service has canceled this event.
You’ve stared down at them from the cliffs and even today, the rocks and currents of Lands End and the Golden Gate coast take the lives and vessels of unsuspecting sailors.
This Saturday at 11am, docent Rich Harned from the National Park Service will lead a one hour tour about some of the ships that have perished upon the rocky cliffs of the Golden Gate.
The tour will meet at the USS San Francisco Memorial Lot on El Camino del Mar, just north of 48th and Point Lobos avenues.
The tour is free but reservations are requested, so call 415-561-4323 to reserve your spot. The tour is classified as a “moderate hike”.

Just called, and the park service has canceled this. =/
Thanks, Scott for the info. Updated the post. Let’s hope they reschedule – sounds interesting!
They didn’t say why… won’t be rescheduled until the spring.
