CAPTAIN RICHARD CORREIA’S MESSAGE
On Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM officers from the Richmond District Police Station and members of the Richmond District Police Community Advisory Board (PCAB) met at Lake Street and Arguello Boulevard where they distributed safety literature to pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists. This event was part of an on-going effort to bring attention to the risks that pedestrians, bicyclist, and motorists face and make the streets safer for all. The location was selected because of the high volume of traffic, the complexity of the traffic controls at that intersection and the fact that many folks ignore those controls and also roll through near-by stop signs. Folks were told to expect increased traffic enforcement in the area and that citations would be issued.
