It’s 2011 and the Bazaar Cafe is continuing their “How-To” nights.
This month it’s a free class on how to build electric and acoustic guitars. So if you’ve been fantastizing about building the perfect axe to shred on, here’s your chance to get the inside scoop on how it’s done.
The class will be hosted by Bay Area musician and self-taught luthier Mario deSio, who will share his guitars (finished and in progress), tools, references, and experiences with anyone who’s interested in this fulfilling craft.
Mario turned his attention to building guitars three years ago, after becoming a father and having his guitar-buying budget slashed. With an unquenchable desire for a Rickenbacker 12-string electric guitar, and experience in furniture repair and construction, he consulted the internet and dove right in.
The free event is this Wednesday, January 12 at 7pm at the Bazaar Cafe, 5928 California near 22nd Avenue.
Rock on!
