RichmondSFBlog reader Sam Young sent this my way and I love it! He’s a video editor and motion graphic designer who created this music video for local band Sugar & Gold. The song is fun and poppy – a love letter to a neighborhood and the city of San Francisco. The video is visually fun as well.
“Most of the photos used in the video, I took in the Richmond. Mainly out of convenience, because that’s where I live!” Sam wrote.
Pay attention and you’ll catch glimpses of neighborhood landmarks like Green Apple Books, the Balboa and 4-Star theaters, European Food Deli and more.

Thanks for sharing this video. I really enjoyed it! I wanted to show it to my kids but there is a reference to a sexual act. Is there a ‘G’ version?
Great video even if it wasn’t in the Richmond but I’m glad the hood is getting some cred for hipster potential. Catchy song, too. I’ll need to get used to long lines at Little Henry’s.
@Vince – I haven’t come across a completely kid-tested-and-approved version, sorry!

Plus I didn’t know Tim Lincecum was in a band!
Nice vid, very visually pleasing
