Unlike the past couple of years when the festival has only had a few big headliners, this year’s Outside Lands Music Festival in Golden Gate Park (August 12-14, 2011) is packed with big names on the music scene.
The lineup was just revealed this morning; here are the highlights:
Muse
Phish (2 sets)
Arcade Fire
Black Keys
MGMT
Girl Talk
Decemberists
John Fogerty
Erykah Badu
Beirut

nice lineup. i’ll probably go. more great bands in the full lineup.
Nice lineup! Will definitely go. (Would prefer the Funky Meters over the Original Meters, though; Leo’s awful shredding doesn’t fit.)
It is a pretty good lineup and the price of the tickets seems fairly reasonable considering the names that are on the bill. The headliners are definitely some huge names and Muse alone guarantees a good time. I am still on the fence about whether or not I want a VIP ticket, but in the end, it comes down to whether or not I want a $450 VIP ticket with a side view of the main stage versus $175 for a pit ticket and a view of the back of someone’s head? (Being 5’6 usually guarantees that)
Better lineup than last year! I wonder if I can win tickets again…..;)
ahhh, the Outside Lands Festival. Part of the beauty of the Richmond is that you don’t actually have to pay get in to enjoy the music.
although, all those people… they cramp me so. …and i find my self exclaiming: “GETHEHELLOUTOFMYNEIGHBORHOOD” a lot that time of year…
on sale now!
Cool, we’ll listen from our back porch! 🙂
