This post also reminds me of Time Shutter… It’s a free iPhone/iPad geolocation app for San Francisco that finds your location and shows you old timey illustrations of that area. There are some pretty cool images of the Sutro Baths when the building still existed.

do I spy tracks running down Geary?? bring back the tracks!
Many times I dream of being back in those time periods. True there wasn’t the technological advancements but it was a simpler time.
Oh what a beautiful city San Francisco was…and still is. Yeah, the B car ran down the middle of Geary out to 32nd,then past Washington High School and on down Balboa to 45th Ave where it shifted to Cabrillo and on to the end of the line at Playland. Wish it was running today.
