Leslie Henslee, the owner and creative brainchild behind Frankenart Mart on Balboa, has teamed up with a downtown hot dog restaurant for a unique form of artistic expression.
Zog’s Dogs, located at Post and Montgomery Streets, recently ran a contest for their 2011 Hot Dog Stand Fellowship. The fellowship is designed to encourage “artistic endeavors, and creative proposals that re-imagine the hot dog, the restaurant experience, and food in general.”
If you know anything about Frankenart Mart, you know that they LOVE the hot dog; they’re known for their free hot dog days (next one is May 8!) and their annual hot dog drawing contest.
So it’s onhealthy prednisolone online only fitting that Leslie won the fellowship this year. Her winning idea? To “sketch” portraits of customers using ketchup and mustard. And it’s not just a temporary art piece that you’ll soak up with your dog and fries; it’s made to last:
The ketchup and mustard is bound with a clear preservant so you can hang your masterpiece above the mantel or in the cubicle and enter a distinguished world of portraitry once only reserved for royalty and dudes that hunt stuff.
If you’re ready for your condiment closeup, stop by Zog’s Dogs at 1 Post Street at Montgomery this Friday from 12pm-2:30pm.
