Thrillist has a review of the new sake house, Oozora, that opened up recently at 5120 Geary near 15th Avenue. Described as a “new Japanese drinking den-cum-yakitori retreat”, the restaurant’s bar includes 16 different rice wines and “liter-sized soju cocktails available with seven fruit juice mixers.”
But it’s not just all drinking – there’s food too like skewers, prime rib and “eyebrow-raising apps”.
And this made my stomach growl: “they’ll also serve up DIY s’mores that include marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate, and a portable grill with ‘mallow skewers so you can toast them to perfection all by yourself.” Mmm.
Yelpers report that Oozora also has a karaoke room, so when you’re good and sauced and want to further embarrassexpress yourself, look no further.
