There’s a new cafe in the Outer Richmond – Magdy’s at the corner of Clement and 31st Avenue. They opened just a few weeks ago.
I popped in for an Italian soda and a cookie on Saturday afternoon. It’s a cute little cafe that offers coffee, tea, pastries, bagels, soups and salads, and a variety of sandwiches including hot paninis.
The cafe has a couple of tables outside, making it a nice spot to soak up some afternoon sun. They also offer free WiFi.
Thanks to RichmondSFBlog reader Courtney for the tip!

they’ve misspelled their veggies.
Thank you blendergasket! I noticed that right away too. Grammar and spelling nerds of the world unite!
Good timing. I saw the place while to and from the new F&E. I’ll stop by Madgy’s when I go to F&E again to redeem my second $5 off coupon.
This is great. Right on the route to the new Fresh & Easy. It’s nice to see this part of Clement getting revitalized!
Spelling correctly and writing grammatically does not make a person a “nerd.” It means a person has a basic education and a desire to be able to communicate clearly – and some respect for the language through which one is communicating. We live in a society where people come from many different cultures and have many different languages as their native language. Incorrect grammar and speling and using slang terms instead of the proper word makes it extremely difficult for people who do not have English as their native language — esp in corporate communications.
Uhhh…if you’re smart enough to set up a business in this city, you’re probably not that lazy, so you should be smart enough to spell your friggin’ menu correctly….unless of course it’s a stylistic thing.
This location has been a cafe for quite a while, but this is a new name for the spot. Good luck to them.
check the scrabble dictionary over your cup of coffee while you’re there after you go to freshn’ quesy hihi
