This Thursday is Bastille Day, which commemorates the 1790 Fête de la Fédération, held on the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789 in France.
ArtPoint, the young professionals’ organization dedicated to promoting an awareness of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, is hosting their annual Bastille Day Celebration at the de Young Museum on Thursday night from 8pm until midnight:
Join ArtPoint members, young professionals, and rabble-rousers for an evening of revelry and after-hours access to the work of one of the world’s most revolutionary artists: Pablo Picasso.
DJ Solomon will preside over the dance floor as guests enjoy complimentary cocktails, wine, beer, and tasty treats. You and your entourage can toast the French Revolution, pose for artful portraits in our photo booth, and view original footage projected on the museum walls of Picasso in his element.
