This Sunday, SAFE will host its third annual 5K Fun Run / Walk for SAFEty in Golden Gate Park.
This mission of San Francisco SAFE is to educate and empower San Franciscans to build safer neighborhoods through crime prevention education and public safety services that result in stronger, more vibrant and resilient communities. SAFE has organized thousands of Neighborhood Watch Groups across the city.
Sunday’s 5k begins in Golden Gate Park’s Peacock Meadow next to the Conservatory of Flowers at 11am. In addition to the walk/run, the event features music, kid’s activities, prizes, and a BBQ. Have a wee one in tow? Participate in the stroller brigade at the event.
You can sign up for the race online or at the event the day of; entry is $30 per person. Included in your registration fee is an event T-shirt and BBQ lunch. Note that advance registration guarantees a t-shirt.
