Fulton Playground neighbor Wendi sent us these photos of the park’s street sign coming down yesterday. The playground closed back in November to get ready for its makeover; construction began in January.
The playground is undergoing a $4.2 million renovation that will include a completely new playground, resurfacing of the basketball and tennis courts, and upgrades to the park’s clubhouse. The park will also showcase a unique, kinetic sculpture from artist Moto Ohtake.
Don’t rush over there, though. 🙂 It will be awhile until Fulton Playground re-opens – early 2013 according to the latest status update on the project website.
