Reader Ben L. sent us some photos of the city’s Wild Parrots that he took on Tuesday morning. They stopped off to feast on the small berries on a tree near 27th Avenue and Balboa.

I’ve been hearing them squawking as they fly by and wondered where they were heading. Thanks for the pictures.
This is so great!!! I’ve been hearing them sporadically on my walks throughout parts of the Richmond lately and it’s nice to see them up close — healthy, active and making themselves at home whenever
& wherever they please as usual! They are such a wild bunch and I miss them, especially since I don’t spend much time in North Beach anymore. And the photos (as images) are colorful and upbeat and
very appreciated on a gray, drab & drizzly “summer” day.
Hanks, I have not seen them close,I see them flying over the park squawking
I saw them around 18th last week!
They must’ve been checking out the view from above the Clement Produce Market too as that’s where I heard them chattering away a few weeks ago.
I have seen them fly towards the Presidio from my 16th ave flat. It’s so nice to know that they are taking rest stops in our neck of the woods.
Great picture Ben L.
Wow! I think this is right next to my backyard…and I had no idea. What a treat.
Thanks Sue, Toby & Jean.
They have been coming by every few days, usually not this many at once. I’d guess that were 5 there this morning, undeterred by the fog.
