This Sunday, the Holy Virgin Cathedral on Geary will host their annual Russian Festival.
The festival is full of Russian food and drink to satisfy including meat-filled Piroshky, Golubtsi (stuffed cabbage rolls), beef stroganoff, Pelmeni (dumplings), Shashlik, and even flavored vodkas.
You can also enjoy Russian entertainment and singing with hourly performances by local dance, vocal and musical groups including the church Choir.
They will also be offering tours of the Cathedral, which if you haven’t seen it, is well worth the visit.
The festival runs from 11am until 6pm at the Holy Virgin Cathedral at 6210 Geary. Admission is $5 per person. Parking is available at the nearby Presidio Middle School parking lot at 29th and Geary; bike parking will also be available.
