It’s been 25 years since Phantom of the Opera opened and since then, it’s become the longest running show on Broadway and has been seen by over 100 million people worldwide.
On January 9 at 7:30pm, the Balboa Theater will bring the show to the big screen with a fully-staged, lavish production, set in the sumptuous Victorian splendor of the Royal Albert Hall. This special event features over 200 cast members, orchestra musicians, and luminaries involved with “Phantom of the Opera” over the past 25 years.
A week later on January 16 at 7:30pm, the Balboa will screen Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Love Never Dies”, the highly anticipated sequel to “The Phantom of the Opera”, filmed at The Regent Theatre in Melbourne, Australia. The filmed performance features a 21-piece orchestra and an impressive cast of 36 including actors Ben Lewis as Phantom and Anna O’Byrne as Christine Daaé.
