The George Washington High School Choir is performing a fundraiser concert on Friday, April 5 in the school auditorium.
The event is to help them raise funds for a trip to Washington, DC, in late April to sing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial as part of a year-long commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech.
“This journey is our dream, as we hope to participate in commemorating one of the most important social justice events of the 20th century,” said Anna Karney, Choir Director.
The suggested donation at the door for the concert is $20. If you are unable to attend and would still like to donate, visit the choir’s fundraising website.
The concert will be held in the GWHS Auditorium at 7pm; enter at 30th Avenue and Anza.
