  1. Have you heard about anything that happened on the night of June 29 around 10pm. When my boyfriend and I came back home and were driving up clement from Arguello toward 9th we saw on 5th, near Toy boat, from Clement toward California was being taped off, with several police cars, fire truck, ambulance and officers gearing up with rifles. When we were standing at the corner watching this – some people were saying that a man was walking down the street with two big chef knives trying to stab people. That they had that section blocked off because he was hiding there. I’m wondering if that situation has been resolved and what really was happening.

  2. @ Amy
Yeah, I remember walking by the Java House the next day and seeing the police tape. Other folks did too and were equally curious as to what happened.

Heard some power tools being used inside so I’d guess they were doing some kind of work. Maybe it was to seal off whatever opening the guy used to get in if that was actually the case.

  3. i was there that night too couldn’t move my car because it was blocked my the police. I couldn’t find any news on it at all. Please update us! I’m a resident here… I did hear that the guy injuired his parents..

  4. Well, I called 415-666-8000 and the man said he hardly remembers what happened yesterday, why would he remember what happens on June 29. I asked if they keep records of these kinds of incidents – he said no and to call on Monday to talk to someone else.

  5. Thanks Amy, and I’m sorry you got treated like a jerk on the phone. I hate that.

Appreciate the heads up on the situation though.

  6. That commotion was in the flat below mine. He wasn’t just hiding there…he lives there!
