Holiday decor workshops at Conservatory, Richmond Library – Nov. 13 & 20

The holidays are just around the corner and both the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park and the Richmond District Library are offering workshops where you can learn to make your own decorations.

Living and Up-cycled Wreaths: a design workshop | November 13 @ 6pm
Richmond District Library, 351 9th Avenue
Artist and floral designer Sarah Glanville will share techniques and design tips to help you create beautiful, long-lasting, one of a kind holiday wreaths out of materials from your home or garden. After a demonstration of living and up-cycled wreaths, participants will create their own. A wreath frame, tools and some decorative materials will be provided. Glass Terrarium Ornament Making | November 13 @ 2pm
Conservatory of Flowers
Join Brandi Chalker of Sunshine & Succulents for a succulent terrarium ornament workshop. Each participant will receive 2-3 glass ornaments to fill with tiny, lovely succulents. Take them home for the holidays or give them as a gift. Tickets are $45 General Admission, and $35 for Conservatory of Flowers members.

Holiday Centerpiece Making with Succulents and Cuttings | November 20 @ 2pm

In this “make-and-take” workshop, Sloat Garden Center’s Jennie Strobel shows you how to make unique, non-traditional centerpieces featuring succulents and tillandsias that will beautify your holiday table for months with proper care. Sloat will provide the base, soil, plants, and supplies you need to create your masterpiece. Tickets are $50 for general Admission, $40 for Conservatory members.
