This Saturday, the Balboa Theater is hosting a benefit sing-a-long and holiday marketplace.
Bring the family for screenings of the sing-a-long versions of classic films “Frosty the Snowman” and “The Jungle Book”.
The films start at 1:15pm but beginning at noon, there will be a holiday marketplace in the lobby of the theater featuring crafts by local artisans, beer and wine, homemade sweets and holiday gifts. The market runs until 4pm.
Admission is $10 for adults, and $7.50 for kids 11 and under. Proceeds from the event benefit the Balboa Theater and the Sunset Cooperative Nursery School.

Good job to the troupe that took over the balboa theatre, adjusting it to compete against multi plex theatres with these fun events, raising money through kickstarter for digital projection, and keeping the SF and California tradition of historical theatres in tact. One only wishes that the bridge theatre could have had the same fate.
